How the work is going
Development log
The first version of KIPRI for Android is out. This page records what is already done, week by week. Everything listed is in the app today; things we tried and removed are not here.

Latest entry:
Working offline
- Starting the app or signing in without a connection no longer signs you out or wipes the data on the phone.
- The header shows a "no connection" icon, and actions that need the network explain why they did not go through.
- Once a day the app saves a copy of your data on the phone; Settings has "Restore from the copy on this device".
- The notifications screen was rebuilt: a "Needs a decision" stack, and snoozing to the evening or tomorrow morning.
- Private notes open with biometrics, and the PIN can be four or six digits.
- A note now has text search with highlighted matches.
- The day strip on the home screen scrolls by weeks for a year ahead.
Plan for the day
- Items on the home screen became tiles: overdue ones in a red frame, the next one in gold.
- Tapping an item opens a menu: done, move, snooze for an hour, open.
- A strip of the next seven days: you can look at and build the plan for any of them.
- When everything for today is done, the home screen shows "Day closed".
A more generous free plan
- Private notes and important reminders became available on the free plan, with a quota instead of a lock.
- Items on the home screen can be moved and reordered by dragging.
- Task calendar: a cell shows the day’s summary, a task can be dragged to another day, and leftovers move to today in one action.
- Sign-in is protected against guessing: a pause after wrong passwords, and deleting the account requires the password.
Kipri comes alive
- The assistant remembers the conversation and does not repeat the same lines.
- Instead of "I did not get that", Kipri offers a ready command or asks you to explain an unfamiliar word.
- In the assistant window Kipri has expressions: thinking, glad, puzzled.
- Kipri opens with an observation from your data, for example "Overdue reminders: 3. Show them?". This can be turned off.
Habits
- A new Habits section: check-ins, a streak, a 30-day grid and a weekly chart.
- A habit can run "N times a week", a day can be frozen, and a past day can be checked in.
- If an entry was changed on two devices, the app explains the conflict and lets you choose a version.
- A note can now hold a checklist.
- Fixed: a repeating reminder moves to the next date after it is ticked off, and notifications are not duplicated.
Settings, search and the bin
- Settings are split into sections and can be searched. An accent colour, data export to a file and account deletion were added.
- Search across notes and six themes for them.
- A deleted note stays in the bin for 30 days, and the "delete?" question was replaced by an Undo button.
- The morning digest is available on the free plan.
- Photos and audio from notes are copied to the cloud on paid plans.
Photos, audio and protection for private notes
- A note can hold a photo and an audio recording.
- Notes are split into categories, and cards on the board are reordered by dragging.
- Private notes lock after wrong attempts and are hidden in the app switcher. The PIN can be changed.
Quiet hours
- Quiet hours and the morning digest.
- A reminder got a priority and an advance alert.
- The Done and Snooze buttons work right in the notification.
- A "Reduce motion" switch.
Tasks, notes and repeats
- Tasks became a section of their own. Notes became free-form cards, and private notes behind a PIN appeared.
- Repeats for reminders: every day, on weekdays, weekly, monthly, yearly.
- A reminder can be snoozed; the list is split into overdue, today, tomorrow, later and done.
- The bottom bar can be customised: which sections it holds and in what order.
The voice assistant
- Kipri, the voice assistant: create a reminder, a note or a birthday, ask "what is on today", move or tick off an item. Phrases are parsed by rules; there is no neural network in it.
- The interface in Russian and English.
- The birth year became optional, and a birthday can remind you several times in advance.
- Plans with limits, and a profile.
- A notifications screen inside the app.
The first version
- Sign-in and sign-up, reminders, birthdays, a to-do list with a calendar and a checklist.
- Data is stored on the phone and synced with the cloud.
- Light and dark themes.
