Delete your account

Delete in the app

You need an internet connection. This cannot be undone: the account and its records cannot be restored afterwards.

• Open Settings → Security.
• In the Delete account section, type the email address of your account to confirm.
• If your account has a password, enter it in the Account password field. If you only sign in with Google, the app will ask you to sign in with Google once more.
• Tap Delete account and confirm.

Delete without the app

Email [email protected] from the address your account is registered to and ask us to delete the account. Writing from that address lets us make sure the request comes from the account owner. If you sign in with Google, write from that Google account's address.

We delete the account within 30 days, usually sooner, and reply once it is done. No conditions, and you do not need to give a reason.

What gets deleted

• The account itself: email address, name, avatar, sign-in methods.
• All records in the cloud: tasks, notes, birthdays, reminders, habits and their check-ins, plus your plan and promo code history.
• Attachment files (photos and audio) in cloud storage.
• Push notification tokens of your devices.
• The usage event log and crash reports linked to the account.

What stays

• Data on the device itself. When you delete the account in the app, its records are wiped from the phone too. If you ask us by email, the copy on the phone stays until you sign out or uninstall the app. Records you kept without an account, in local mode, never reached the server and stay on the phone until the app is removed.
• The daily usage summary: how many people opened the app and how many events of each kind happened that day. It is built without any link to individual people, and nothing about you can be learned from it.

Backups

We back up the database daily into an encrypted copy. Each copy is kept for no longer than 14 days and is then overwritten. So 14 days after your account is deleted, your data is gone from the backups as well.
