What changed with Keep reminders

According to Google’s help, in the second half of 2025 Keep reminders moved to Google Tasks: a new reminder is saved as a task and shows up in Tasks, Calendar and Keep. Location reminders can no longer be created or received.

For Calendar users this is convenient. For people who used Keep only for notes with reminders, it is now two apps instead of one.

Where Keep is stronger

Speed of jotting, shared notes, every platform, and the fact that it is already installed. If you mostly need notes and a couple of reminders a month, there is no reason to leave Keep.
