Comparison

KIPRI or TickTick

TickTick is the closest to KIPRI in scope: tasks, habits, countdowns, including ones for birthdays. The differences are in limits, platforms and the fact that TickTick does more.

This comparison was written by the KIPRI developers. We tried to be fair: everything about the other app comes from its own help pages, and what it does better is listed separately.

KIPRI suits you if

  • you want habit counters, several reminders a day and streak freezes without a paid plan
  • birthdays matter more than tasks, with alerts a month, a week and on the day

TickTick suits you if

  • you need tasks on your computer, in the browser and on iPhone
  • you need shared lists, location reminders and widgets
  • you need repeats from the completion date or «every three days»

Where TickTick is stronger

Almost everywhere tasks are concerned: every platform, shared lists, location reminders, widgets, flexible repeats, several reminders per task. If you need one tool on your phone and your computer, pick TickTick.

Where KIPRI is handier

In KIPRI birthdays are not a special case of a countdown but a section of their own: several alerts per date, notes about the person, voice commands like «whose birthdays are coming up» and «mark that I said happy birthday». The morning digest gathers reminders and birthdays into one notification.

For habits on the free plan KIPRI gives fewer slots, three against five, but with no features cut: counters, up to eight reminders a day and freezes work straight away.

About paying from Russia

The Google Play billing system has been paused for users in Russia since 10 March 2022, so Premium cannot be bought through Play from Russia. KIPRI’s paid plans are not on sale at all yet.
