Binary and counted
Exercise is either done or not done. Water is counted in glasses, eight of them per day. Both live in the same model with a different daily goal, and there are no separate kinds of record for them.
Streaks worth keeping
A habit rests on two things: a clear goal for today and the reluctance to break a streak. KIPRI counts both, and on the days life goes sideways it offers a freeze instead of a reset.

Exercise is either done or not done. Water is counted in glasses, eight of them per day. Both live in the same model with a different daily goal, and there are no separate kinds of record for them.
Every day, only on chosen weekdays, or a weekly quota such as three gym visits with the days left open. For a weekly quota the streak is counted in weeks, because calling it seven days in a row for an every-other-day habit would be a lie.
Raise the goal from three to four and the days you already closed stay closed. The app remembers the rule that applied back then and does not turn half a year of work into failure at the exact moment you decided to push harder.
Illness, travel or a crunch at work can freeze a day so the streak survives the gap. Freezes come with every plan, because a tool that holds motivation together should not be paywalled.
Three on Free, ten on Plus, thirty on Pro and unlimited on Max.
Check-ins are kept for more than a year and cleared automatically beyond that. The data volume stays bounded while statistics for the meaningful period remain complete.
The free plan runs the whole app. Limits only start where serious volume starts.
