A 40-day streak breaks over one day with a fever, and then the habit gets dropped. In KIPRI such a day can be frozen and the streak survives the gap. Freezes are on the free plan.
How to set it up
Choose how to count
Either a simple «done», or an amount with a unit: 8 glasses, 20 pages, 30 minutes. You set the step size so you do not tap plus twenty times.
Set the schedule
Every day, on chosen weekdays, or N times a week without fixed days. The last one suits «three workouts a week»: the streak is then counted in weeks.
Add reminders
Up to eight times a day for one habit. You can tick the habit straight from the notification without opening the app.
Freeze the bad days
Long-press a day in the month calendar. Future days cannot be frozen, only past days and today: a freeze is for what has already happened, not for a planned day off.
What KIPRI cannot do here
The free plan has three habits, paid plans 10, 30 and unlimited.
Habits are not in the morning digest or in voice commands, you tick them in the app or from the notification.
There is no home-screen widget.
The tick history is kept for 400 days.
Why three habits on the free plan is enough
The limit could have been put on anything, and we put it on the number. Every feature, including freezes, counters and several reminders, works on the free plan.
Three habits is noticeably fewer than you want on day one, and about as many as people manage to keep for months. If you feel like starting with ten, read the blog post on where the 21-day myth came from.
Changing the goal does not rewrite the past
Raise the target from 10 to 20 pages and the old days still count against the old target. The streak is not reset retroactively because you became stricter.
