Pills in the morning, afternoon and evening, a two-week course. An ordinary reminder is awkward for this: it has one time. In KIPRI a habit fits better: it has up to eight reminders a day and a calendar that shows which dose was missed.
For example «Antibiotic», target 3 a day. Each dose is one tick. By the evening you can see how many of the three are taken, and do not have to remember whether you took the midday one.
Up to eight times a day: 8:00, 14:00, 20:00. Each gets its own notification, and you can tick the dose right from the notification shade.
If they are on and a dose falls inside, say at 23:00, the notification moves to the end of quiet hours, to the morning. For a night dose, turn quiet hours off or shift them.
Or keep it if the medicine is ongoing: the month calendar shows which days had misses, which is useful to show your doctor.
The cause is almost always the phone’s battery settings, not the app. Xiaomi, Samsung, Huawei and other brands unload apps from memory in their own ways. The site has a notification settings check for each brand with a 15-minute live test.
There is no «every N hours» interval, but you can set exact times: 6:00, 14:00, 22:00. For medication that is even more precise.
